Are you feeling hopeless or stuck and struggling to see a way forward in your life? Are you dealing with low mood or feeling trapped in patterns of behaviour? Many of us face challenges that can feel overwhelming at times.
Counselling offers a non-judgemental and compassionate space to explore your feelings and thoughts, look at patterns from your past that may be impacting on you now and empower you to find a way through challenges.
My name is Sara Benyon and I’d love to work with you.
I’m a qualified trauma-informed person-centred integrative Counsellor providing therapy for adults and young people. I have an Advanced Diploma in Counselling from Network Counselling & Training and am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP) abiding by their code of ethics.
My client work has been with Network and Heart to Heart Bristol alongside private practice. I receive regular clinical supervision from an experienced practitioner; I undertake ongoing training and have full liability insurance. In my previous work I’ve lived overseas and worked in disaster response which has given me a love of working with people from diverse backgrounds and a strong belief in the capacity of people to overcome, heal and flourish.
Making the decision to see a counsellor can feel like a daunting one but it can be a positive step towards change and growth in your life. Please read on to find out more about how I could help you, or contact me if you would like to have a chat.
I offer a warm and empathic therapeutic relationship to explore whatever you want to bring to the sessions. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space to talk about the difficulties you may be facing. I won't give you advice or solutions but we will work collaboratively to help you understand yourself, your circumstances and your past, to process difficult emotions and empower you to find a way through and make changes in your life.
My approach is person-centred integrative and within this I use creative approaches to help you explore emotions and challenges in your life where appropriate. You choose the content and pace of the sessions. We will have regular reviews of the therapy to ensure you are getting the most out of it.
Sessions last 50 minutes, take place weekly at the same time and cost £50. Payments can be made in cash or by bank transfer. I offer short or long term counselling according to your individual needs, either in person or online.
I offer a free 30 minute Initial consultation which is an opportunity to meet, to discuss what your expectations are and for me to tell you more about my approach so you can decide if you would like to start counselling with me.
If you would like to cancel a session, I do ask for 48 hours notice. If you are able to provide this, the sessions fees will not apply. I offer evening sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays and daytime sessions from Monday to Thursday.
Along with offering counselling online, I offer face-to-face sessions in either of my two locations: Stoke Gifford, South Gloucestershire and Filton, Bristol. Contact me to enquire about booking an appointment or if you have any questions.
